With a south-eastern aspect, its steep terraces cascading from 440 metres altitude to the very edge of the picturesque Pinhão river at only 180 metres, Cavandinha is positioned in one of the most favourable situations in the demarcated Douro region. Forming an important part of Warre's declared Vintage years, in the other good years a small quantity of the wine is set aside for bottling after two years in cask.
