    The 2011 vintage is widely regarded as one of the greatest Port declarations of modern times. A near-perfect growing season in the Douro Valley — with a wet winter, balanced spring and long, hot summer — produced exceptionally concentrated grapes with remarkable structure and freshness. The result was a universally declared vintage and wines of outstanding depth, balance and longevity.

    Warre’s 2011 Vintage Port beautifully expresses the house’s signature style of elegance and refinement. The nose is rich with aromas of blackberry, cassis and dark plum, complemented by hints of violet, spice and dark chocolate. On the palate the wine is full-bodied and powerful, with dense layers of ripe black fruit supported by firm tannins and vibrant acidity that promise excellent ageing potential.

    Presented here in a half bottle (37.5cl), this format is perfect for smaller occasions or as a thoughtful gift. While still youthful and structured, the wine is already impressive and will continue to develop complexity for many decades.
