Lovely tawny colour with a brick hue. The nose shows violets and sweet cherry with hints of wintergreen. On the palate it may not be as sweet as the earlier Ports from the 60s, but that is very much a good thing. Taylors Single Harvest Port

From the Taylors reserves in Oporto this wine has ben stored in seasoned oak casks. Taylors has decided to make a very limited release of the 1969 Single Harvest Port.

TASTING NOTES
Deep mahogany colour with discreet olive highlights on the rim. A very fine, elegant nose, with an opulent core of wild honey, treacle and butterscotch infused with a spicy redolence of black pepper and cinnamon. Cedary cigar box aromas, savoury scents of wild herbs and a discreet aura of fresh mint as a further layer of complexity.

Perfumed, elegant and very attractive on the nose. Lively, tannic and massively fruity in the mouth. Lots of mid-palate activity, really attractive. Sweet with soft tannins and with a strong core of acidity that just makes the mouth water uncontrollably. A big but hot aftertaste with lots of black licorice dominating a long length.
