Description

Barbaresco DOCG 1987 Giordano is a red wine from Piedmont, Italy, produced in the Barbaresco area of the Langhe. It is made exclusively from Nebbiolo, traditionally vinified with aging in oak casks and bottle maturation, aiming for elegance, structure, and long-term evolution.

Tasting Notes:
Brick-garnet color with amber reflections. Dried cherry, rose petals, red berries, leather, tobacco, and earthy forest floor. Subtle tar and spice notes.
Medium body, softened tannins, still-present acidity. Long, elegant, fading finish.

Serving & Food Pairing:
Serve at 16–18°C, with light decanting if needed.

Pairs with roasted meats, braised beef, game, truffle dishes, mushroom risotto, and aged cheeses.

Producer:
Giordano is a historic Piedmontese winery known for producing traditional wines from Langhe, including Barbaresco and Barolo, with a focus on classic Nebbiolo-based styles.
