Description
Massolino, 2019 Barbaresco
A refined and elegant expression of Nebbiolo, the 2019 Barbaresco from Massolino highlights the finesse and aromatic purity that define this historic Piedmont appellation.
Tasting Note
The nose is fragrant and expressive, offering aromas of ripe red cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry, layered with rose petal, dried herbs and a subtle hint of sweet spice. On the palate, the wine is supple yet structured, with vibrant acidity carrying flavours of crimson fruit, orange peel and gentle earthy notes. Fine, polished tannins lend shape and persistence, leading to a long, savoury and well-balanced finish.
Food Pairing
An excellent match for braised veal, roast poultry, mushroom and truffle dishes, rich pasta sauces and aged hard cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano or Castelmagno.
Serving & Cellaring
Serve at 16–18°C. Decant for 45–60 minutes before drinking. Drinking well now with air, and will cellar confidently for 12–18 years.
Why We Love It
This Barbaresco combines aromatic lift with classical structure, delivering elegance without sacrificing depth. A beautifully balanced Nebbiolo that is both food-friendly and age-worthy.

***92 Points- Wine Enthusiast***
Forest berry, blue flower and botanical herb aromas lift out of the glass. Linear and vibrant, the palate has racy tension that lifts juicy strawberry, red cherry, blood orange and star anise alongside taut, tightly wound tannins. Give it a few more years to fully develop. The Massolino 2019 Barbaresco offers fine and delicate fiber with plenty of wild berry, blue flower, licorice and crushed stone. With 10,000 bottles produced, this wine remains a fresh and accessible taste of Nebbiolo from the gentle hills of Barbaresco.(Monica Larmer) RobertParker.com
