Description
A great value mature Bordeaux from the outstanding 2000 vintage. This wine is deep red, with browning on the rim. The palate shows a medium-bodied wine, melted tannins and similar complex flavours as the nose. It is made with the 'Bordeaux blend' of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. Fronsac is an appellation for red wines based on Merlot, produced in an area in the east of the Bordeaux wine region. It is located close to the northern bank of the Dordogne river, just a few miles to the west of Libourne. Saint-Émilion and Pomerol lie to the east of the town.
