Quarles Harris is one of the oldest names in Port, founded in 1680 and now part of the Symington Family Estates (alongside Graham’s, Dow’s, and Warre’s). Though lesser known than its sister houses, Quarles Harris often delivers excellent value, using the same top vineyards and winemaking expertise.

Now fully mature and at its peak, the 1975 Quarles Harris shows a tawny-brick hue with an amber rim. The nose is soft and evolved, offering notes of dried figs, walnuts, cedar, and a touch of orange peel. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied, with a silky texture, subtle sweetness, and flavours of toffee, caramelised fruit, and spice. The finish is mellow and nutty.
