Fattoria del Cerro is a traditional Tuscan estate based near Montepulciano, known for producing classic Sangiovese-led wines that show balance and authenticity. The 1985 vintage is widely regarded as one of the best of the decade in Tuscany, with warm, dry conditions delivering ripe fruit and beautifully structured wines with long ageing potential.

Tasting Note
Now at full maturity, this 1985 Chianti displays a soft brick-garnet colour with an elegant, evolved nose of dried cherry, cedar, tobacco and subtle spice. The palate is mellow and refined, showing notes of dried red fruits, leather, and earthy undertones, supported by gentle acidity. A charming and delicate old-school Chianti that speaks of its time and place — fragile now, but graceful to the end.
