Description

This 1999 Dolcetto from Brezza’s Fossati vineyard has matured gracefully, revealing a refined and earthy character. Aromas of dried black cherry, violet and prune mingle with notes of leather, liquorice and a hint of walnut. On the palate it’s medium-bodied and supple, with softened tannins and a gentle acidity that carries flavours of dried fruit, cocoa and a touch of savoury spice. The finish is mellow and persistent, showing the quiet elegance of well-aged Dolcetto.

Serve at 16–17 °C (60–63 °F). A short decant (20–30 minutes) helps the mature aromas open. Ideal with mushroom risotto, aged Asiago or roasted game birds — dishes that echo its earthy depth and subtle sweetness.
