The 1962 Offley Vintage Port is a wonderful example of a quietly classic year now fully mature and offering graceful, refined drinking.

In the glass, it shows a deep amber-garnet core with a soft brick rim — a clear indication of its decades of bottle ageing. The nose is beautifully evolved, revealing layers of dried cherry, fig and sultana, interwoven with notes of cedarwood, antique leather and warm baking spice. These bottles were shipped and bottled by Tanners of Shrewsbury and sold to the owners of Berwick House in Shrewsbury, where they were stored undisturbed until their sale in 2024. The bottles are unlabelled but the cork is marked with the vintage and shipper (as pictured).
