Chateau Caronne St Gemme, 2009

Haut Medoc, Cru Bourgeois

On the nose this is full of crème de mûres and violets with a background note of graphite and cedar. The palate is well-defined yet plump with ripe tannins, freshness and a great concentration of black and red fruits. A drinking wine which could easily be confused for Cru Classé.

Sherry

"Cuco" Oloroso
Barbadillo D.O Jerez

This 2008 Sherry is mahogany in colour. Pleasant aroma reminiscent of noble oak from its ageing period and dried fruit. Mouth-filling and beautifully dry on the palate. This wine is aged using oxidative ageing, such as this oloroso, can remain in perfect organoleptic condition many years after bottling, even once the bottle has been opened.

Serving Suggestion: Serve around 14-17 degrees Celsius with game casseroles. If you feel adventurous try this oloroso with lamb curry.

Sherry

12- Year-Old Amontillado Principe De Barbadillo

This 2008 Sherry has a beautiful amber colour. Clear and bright in appearance. It is intense and elegant on the nose; a tempting seductress. Saline nuances and a trace of toasted hazelnuts. Excellent balance and structure with a long finish. The typical dryness of amontillado sherry stands out and highlights its complexity. Lingering and satisfying aftertaste.

Serving Suggestion:
Enjoy at 12-13 Celsius degrees either with a traditional Amontillado pairing such as artichoke dishes or if you are adventurous try red tuna ceviche.

Really nice, excellent condition.

Sherry

"Obispo Gascon" Palo Cortado
Barbadillo D.O. Jerez

*92 Points- Robert Parker*

A 2004 vintage sherry wine. Attractive colour of antique gold. The aromatic complexity reveals toasted almonds, walnuts and raisins. On the palate it is pleasant, rounded and harmonious. Deliciously smooth and lingering.

The Palo Cortado sherries are particularly special within the Jerez-Xèrés-Sherry Designation of Origin. This is because despite the fact that production follows the similar physical-chemical process of oxidative ageing as with the olorosos, the result is quite different with their organoleptic characteristics falling somewhere between those of an amontillado and an oloroso.

1982 Taittinger

Vintage Champagne, Masson Label

Amongst Champagne's luxury cuveés and super-premium labels, Taittinger's wines live on one extreme end of the style spectrum. While many top Champagnes can be quite difficult to approach in their youth, with laser-like focus and delineation, even austerity, Taittinger instead tends to be immediately open and welcoming. These are beautiful, delicious Champagnes, with bubbles lazily winding their way up to the surface, inviting you to take another sip.

The 1978 Musar is a blend of Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache and Carignan from this well-known and highly regarded Lebanese winery.

"A delicate nose showed perfume and black currants. It was certainly in tune with very nice fruit and good acidity. A beautiful, mature Claret that fell short of classic. Harmonious " Cellar Tracker Review Average 91 Points,

Chateau Musar is often referred to as the Lafite of the Lebanon. Wine maker Gaston Hochar defied the odds producing a string of great wines during the Lebanon War. Musar has assumed legendary status. Complex, long-lived and endlessly varied, in some vintages it seems more like a Burgundy, in others a Bordeaux, in still others a Hermitage.

Janneau, 1975

Armagnac 1975 Vintage (Includes presentation box as shown)

The great vintages or millésimés of Janneau are the expression of a single year, most commonly of a single cask. Produced exclusively with the single distillation process, they are the quintessence of this precious distillate aged over the years. Each vintage expresses its unique character. These vintages are bottled at the alcohol level in which they naturally come out of the cask. There is a sharp contrast between the sweet and sour flavours of wood, amplified by the strong alcoholic degree. Rich palate feeling the alcohol and the concentration of dry plums, spicy with persistent flavour of rancio and of spices, but round, soft and long in the finish.

Carinena, 1972

Don Ramon - Suso Perez

Carinena is just one of several DO titles used for the wines of Aragon, northern Spain. Winemaking in the area dates back to at least Roman times, and records from that era confirm that locals drank Carinena wines mixed with honey. Many other historical records attest to the quality of the wines from Carinena; King Ferdinand I of Aragon listed it as his preferred wine above all others and the French philosopher Voltaire thought it heavenly. Wine has long been the economic mainstay of the region and a source of great pride and renown.
