Description

A cold damp spring delayed the beginning of vegetal growth. Healthy budding followed, with flowering occuring without problems. Hot, sunny weather in July and August led to healthy ripening of an enormous crop. September started badly and the worst was feared after three consecutive weeks of cold and rain. Fine weather returned finally on the 22nd September to allow final ripening of this record harvest with yields of 15,012 kg/ha. Very good quality of wines, slightly more supple than the 1982.

From Michael Broadbent:

Pale; creamy; very good. My style of Bollinger, March 1990 4*.

And more recently:

Impeccable in the early 90's. Two more recent notes: pale yellow gold; nutty nose and flavour; very dry but mouthfilling, good acidity. Last tasted Non 1996 4*

Condition

good level and label
