The 1975 Campiglione from Marchesi di Germano is a fascinating reflection of classic Tuscan winemaking from one of the finest vintages of the decade. Produced at a time when tradition defined style, this wine captures the warmth and rustic charm of mid-century Tuscany, offering a rare glimpse into a vanished era of regional character and craftsmanship.

In the glass, it shows a deep garnet core fading to amber at the rim, indicative of its long and gentle maturation. The nose is elegantly evolved, revealing aromas of dried cherry, cedar, leather, and sweet herbs, with subtle hints of balsamic spice, tobacco, and terracotta warmth.

On the palate, it is mellow and harmonious, the tannins now fully integrated and the acidity lending a graceful lift. Flavours of dried red fruit, almond, and earthy spice unfold with quiet persistence, leading to a long, savoury finish marked by notes of truffle and sun-dried herbs.

Serving & Pairing:
Serve at 17–18°C after a brief decant to awaken its tertiary aromatics. Pairs beautifully with roast game, mushroom risotto, or mature pecorino, highlighting its soft texture and autumnal depth.
