Description
The 2019 Château Beaumont is a standout release from an excellent Left Bank vintage, offering impressive depth, balance and classical Médoc character. The wine opens with expressive aromas of blackcurrant, plum and blackberry, intertwined with notes of violets, graphite and subtle oak spice. It strikes a beautiful balance between ripe fruit and refined freshness.
On the palate, the 2019 is polished and generously layered. Ripe cassis and dark cherry sit at the core, supported by silky tannins and well-judged acidity. Hints of cedar, cocoa and warm spice add further dimension, giving the wine both richness and lift. It is supple and approachable, yet structured enough to offer several years of further development.
As it evolves in the glass, savoury undertones of tobacco leaf, forest floor and a touch of mocha emerge, showcasing its Médoc typicity. The finish is long and harmonious, with lingering dark fruit and gentle minerality. The integration of fruit and oak is particularly well-executed in this vintage.
An excellent value Bordeaux, the 2019 Château Beaumont is ideal for drinking now or cellaring for up to a decade. Versatile and food-friendly, it pairs beautifully with roast meats, game dishes, charcuterie and hard cheeses—making it a reliable and rewarding choice for both casual enjoyment and smart everyday drinking.
Château Beaumont has a history dating back to 1824 and remains one of the most consistent estates of the Haut-Médoc. With its large vineyard holdings on well-drained gravel, it consistently produces wines that are approachable in youth yet capable of developing complexity with age.
How to store your Wine
Store lying on its side in a cool, dark cellar at 10–14°C. While the 1998 is now mature, it will remain enjoyable for another 3–5 years if cellared well.
