"This has a really strange barbecue, gamey almost Rhone-like nose that I actually find very attractive since it has great delineation and none of the mustiness of other wines. This is certainly a great success for the vintage with a lovely, almost roasted gamey quality, very good delineation, a little warmth of alcohol with some assertive, supple black fruits on the finish. The dark horse of the sixties? Very fine although I would not leave it much longer. " Neil Martinn Wine Journal
