Description

From the excellent 1970 vintage.The de Pez has a soft, slightly muffled nose of dark plum, cedar and sandalwood. There are touches of sous-bois and pencil shavings that begin to take over the aromatics with time. The palate has a soft entry. This is a faded but not disagreeable Saint Estephe, though there is a little hardness towards the cigar box finish.
