Description

The 1983 Clos du Marquis is the second wine of the famous Chateau Leoville Lascases. Still ruby with bricking edge. Wonderful, ready nose, cedar, fresh but totally secondary, more forest loam than cherries at this point, with a welcome line of herbs to give it some lift. Palate nicely balanced but narrowed with age, plus it was never a powerful vintage to begin with.
