Colheita Port
The origin of the brand Constantino dates back to 1877 and has at its origin a company founded by Constantino de Almeida, dedicated to the export of Port wine. The firm was successful in the first half of the twentieth century, thanks to the vision and management skills of Constantino de Almeida and his successors. The brand is currently recognised for the quality of its famous Brandy, widely expanded in Portugal and beyond. Madeira, 1885
Barbeito bottled - Verdelho
This is a rare and limited release of the 1885 Madeira from the family cellars. The bottles are in perfect condition. There is something ethereal about tasting such a rare vintage. The 1948 Verdelho is very dry as one would expect from this style of Madeira. There is a huge amount happening on the complexity front with some bitter nut skin notes with dried flowers and citrus pith. Although quite dry, this does not come across as too severe. An electric wine that is astonishingly refreshing. Massive finish that goes on and on.

Scholtz Hermanos Malaga, 1885
Solera 1885
Believed to be mainly Pedro Ximén style. Figs, raisins, molasses nose and flavour of PX, but a certain freshness and elegance could be a pointer towards some Moscatel too. Long ageing has made the wine perfectly integrated and delicious with an array of cheeses.

Graham's Port, 1882
Ne Oublie
The Symington family has released 656 bottles of a Port that dates back to the arrival of their great-grandfather Andrew James Symington in Portugal in 1882.
The family have named this wine ‘Ne Oublie’ after the original Graham’s family motto and for the company where Andrew Symington started his life’s work. The name reflects the respect with which the family regard their great-grandparents’ joint decision to commit themselves and their descendants to Portugal, to the Douro and to Port.
Now 130 years later his direct descendants have bottled one of the remaining three barrels. The other two barrels have been entrusted to the next generation of the family and it is they who will decide their future, in 2025 at the earliest. …

D'Oliveiras Madeira, 1875
Malvasia - Madeira
19/20 Jancis Robinson
"Big and round and with lots of acidity. Beefy and almost like beef extract with richness on the finish. Actually, the more I think about it, the more like a beef consommé that is slightly sweet because so reduced (ie concentrated) it is!" Jancis Robinson

D'Oliveiras Madeira, 1875
Sercial - Madeira
"A beautiful amber hue with saffron and olive notes at the rim. The nose is quite glorious – really takes hold of your senses. Though dry, the palate is peppered with shards of jaggery, splinters of sweet caramel and subtly sweet and spicy chutney. The smoky guava-edged finish is charged with a sulphurous, volcanic note. A journey in a glass. Edgy, but in a good way." Sarah Ahmed The Wine Detective
Mid-deep amber-mahogany, one of the darker wines in the line up; very lifted, high toned and rather balsamic on the nose, quite pungent and smokey too; rich initially, thick cut but dry marmalade with a rather coarse, slightly salty finish, the richness offset by pronounced acidity. …

D'Oliveiras Madeira, 1875
Moscatel - Madeira
19/20 JR
"Dark fox red. After 135 years, I’m not sure I would guess it was Moscatel, though it is more luscious than most of these other wines. No Muscat nose but very round and very clean. Treacle but rich. Dentists would not approve of the sugar and acid." Jancis Robinson
