Toro Albalá, 1937

Don PX Convento Seleccion, Montilla-Moriles 1937
Sale Offer | Was £395 | Now £275 Offer Ends 31 July

Pedro Ximénez (often abbreviated as PX) is a sweet, fortified wine primarily produced in Spain, especially in the regions of Jerez (Sherry) and Montilla-Moriles. It is made from the Pedro Ximénez grape, which is sun-dried to concentrate its sugars before fermentation. The result is a wine that is intensely sweet, rich, and dark, with a syrupy texture.

Often described as "dessert in a glass," PX wines are bursting with flavors of raisins, molasses, dried figs, caramel, chocolate, and nuts like toasted almonds or hazelnuts. The wine’s sweetness is balanced by its complex and layered profile, making it a luxurious treat for the palate.

Henri de Villamont, 1937

Henri de Villamont "Collection du Docteur Barolet", Burgundy

Chambolle-Musigny is a tiny commune in the Côte de Nuits sub-region of Burgundy. The village produces almost exclusively red wines from Pinot Noir. The classic Chambolle-Musigny wine is powerful, yet refined and perfumed. Along with Vosne-Romanée and Gevrey-Chambertin, the village is considered to produce some of the finest Pinot Noir wines on earth.

The producer known as Henri de Villamont takes its name from the Chevalier, or Lord, of Villamont, a crusader who retired to the village of Savigny, where Villamont's cellars are located. (The cellars were built by Léonce Bocquet, then the owner of Clos de Veugeot, in 1880.

Shipped & bottled by Saccone & Speed Ltd, London

Since many years Hine has upheld a tradition of making good vintage cognacs, mostly made of Grande Champagne. These have a reputation of being very elegant and well balanced.
