Chateau d'Aiguille Querre, 2004

New

Cotes de Castillion

A 2004 vintage bordeaux wine. Nose richly fruity and ripe, mouth tasty, powerful and long. Nice wine with good potential. The tannic structure is present, but roundness and fruit aromas are superimposed and form a rich, complex and suave.

The climate of this vintage was rather classic: overall temperate with a little fear in summer.
June and September experienced above-average temperatures, with the climate of the last month allowing grape ripening and concentration.

A 2004 vintage bordeaux wine.
Reviews:
*** 86 Points - Wine journal ***
"The 2004 Meyney has a simple, ripe nose of redcurrant, cranberry and a touch of cigar box. It seems to have more Merlot than other Saint Estephe wines with a nice touch of cassis towards the finish. A comparatively “dainty” wine, very approachable but well crafted." - Neil Martin, Wine Journal 2009.

Chateauneuf du Pape, 2004

Domaine Font de Michelle, Etienne Gonnet

A 2004 vintage wine. A profound, smokey, leathery nose with an intriguing aromatic note like sandalwood. Beautiful palate with a gorgeous, silky texture, and a very sweet impression. Intense, wonderfully scented Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

Producer Guilllaume Gonnet produces this Châteauneuf-du-Pape from equal quantities of Grenache and Syrah, the vines farmed biodynamically and on average, between 50 and 90 years old. That age of vine leads to an especially intense, pure Châteauneuf-du-Pape, with tonnes of dark fruit aroma, touches of mixed herbs and liquorice. As expected for wines of this area, the alcohol is up around 14.5% but this is still a remarkably versatile food wine.

Messias Port, 2004

Colheita Single Harvest Tawny Port

The Messias colheita port wine from the good 2004 vintage has been aged in a barrel until bottling in 2017.

It has a beautiful straw colour. Young, fruity fresh aromas that evolve over time, giving rise to a bouquet that brings out the aromas of dried fruits, aromas of roasting, wood and spices. Soft, harmony and complexity in the end. Great finish - excellent wine.

The extended barrel aging has given this wine a complex fusion of dried fruit and cedar notes. On the palate the wine is smooth and full bodies with plenty nuts and sweet fruit on the palate, fine balance. A tremendous finish which goes on forever.

These recall the original 1902 design, which is further reinforced with a handcrafted motif of golden flowers on the bottle of Belle Epoque 2004**, carefully selected by Cellar Master Hervé Deschamps.

Quinta do Noval Nacional, 2004

Vintage Port- SINGLE BOTTLE

A 2004 vintage port wine. We are thrilled to be able to offer Nacional 2004 at the same time. Christian fell in love with the wine after harvest, so the wine was declared but not released. Kept instead under the watchful eye of Technical Director Antonio Agrellos to see how it developed. Considering the pedigree, it comes as no surprise that the wine lived up to their expectations, and so now, 10 years after the harvest, the 2004 is ready for release.

At Quinta do Noval the bud burst occurred mid-March followed by a quick flowering in the end of May due to high temperatures and lack of precipitation.

Sherry

New

"Obispo Gascon" Palo Cortado
Barbadillo D.O. Jerez

*92 Points- Robert Parker*

A 2004 vintage sherry wine. Attractive colour of antique gold. The aromatic complexity reveals toasted almonds, walnuts and raisins. On the palate it is pleasant, rounded and harmonious. Deliciously smooth and lingering.

The Palo Cortado sherries are particularly special within the Jerez-Xèrés-Sherry Designation of Origin. This is because despite the fact that production follows the similar physical-chemical process of oxidative ageing as with the olorosos, the result is quite different with their organoleptic characteristics falling somewhere between those of an amontillado and an oloroso.
