Chateau Margaux, 1991
1er Grand Cru Classe
Reviews:
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Outer quote mark Tasted blind as a vintage comparison at the Valandraud vertical, the 1991 Chateau Margaux was actually much better than I expected and certainly surpassed my solitary previous encounter. It is quite deep and clear in color with a surprisingly generous bouquet that is not complex, but attractive with scents of mulberry, mint and star anise. It opens nicely in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly rustic, irony tannin, though the fruit profile is charming: blackberry, chestnut, spice box, cumin and a touch of undergrowth. Of course, after 25 years it is firmly into its secondary phase and yet it has retained admirable cohesion and freshness. …

Graham's Port, 1991
Vintage Port
*** 94 Points Robert Parker ***
"Graham's 1991 Vintage Port gets my nod as the port of the vintage. While keeping in mind that Graham's aims for a sweeter-styled port, there is no doubting the opaque purple/black colour, or the explosive nose of black fruits, licorice, spring flowers, and tar. Thick and full-bodied, with a satiny texture and a blockbuster, alcoholic finish, this is a top-notch vintage port." Robert Parker, Wine Advocate 1995. Drink now to 2030+

Review:
This rare 30 year old white port has a cool, light-amber color, this unique white “tawny” port derives from the traditional white grapes of the Porto e Douro region, including Arinto, Viosinho, Gouveio and Malvasia Fina. Starting with aromas of a Pear Clafouti and burnt sugar, this elegant port delivers luscious flavors of Japanese pear-apple, with accents of hazelnut, nutmeg and orange zest. …

Quinta do Noval Nacional, 1991
Vintage Port
Rich ruby color that is nearly opaque. It presents notes of strawberry, molasses and others mentioned root beer which I did not really get, but thought was worth noting. This Nacional displays excellent concentration and structure, with medium to full-bodied juice. It possesses young blackberry fruit with a unique balsamic component, and shows its fine balance and some powerful tannins that will allow this wine to age for a few decades. A fine Nacional but not a classic, from an unheralded vintage that has a very youthful essence and lingering finish. 93 pts. (HOLD) Roy Hersh

Reviews:
"paque deep black colour. The nose is sweet and raisiny, quite fragrant and perfumed. The palate is spicy, peppery, quite "bullish" in a way. The Niepport shows more restraint and balance. Slightly dry on the finish - bit this is still an excellent port that should last another decade at least. Drink now-2020. Tasted June 2004." Neil Martin Wine Journal

Ryst-Dupeyon Armagnac, 1991
Ryst Dupeyron Reserve Joseph Millesime vintage Armagnac
50cl bottle
The 1991 Dupeyron Armagnac is the expression of a single year and has a unique character associated with the year and the cask in which it has been stored. These vintages are bottled at the alcohol level in which they naturally come out of the cask. There is a wonderful contrast between the sweet and sour flavours of wood, amplified by the strong alcoholic degree. Rich palate feeling the alcohol and the concentration of dry plums, spicy with persistent flavour of rancio and of spices, but round, soft and long in the finish. The tannins are very present, but full-bodied and round.
The Maison Ryst-Dupeyon was founded by Joseph Dupeyron in 1905. …
