Morgan Port, 1982

Vintage Port

The Morgan 1982 Vintage Port is an unusual find as there are very few notes on this wine.

In 2016 AHB of the Port Forum wrote of this wine
"Dark honey brown in colour, slightly hazy in appearance. Very little on the nose with hints of apricot and tangerine, oxidised. Smooth and soft in texture with barley sugar on the palate, with a gentle bitterness. Good acidity giving a pleasant lime and grapefruit undertone to the sugaryness. The lime, grapefruit and some hyacinth grows on the palate. The aftertaste is peppery with a long lime zest finish that is bitter and intense. Very long. A much better port than expected based on the appearance.
