A beautifully matured 2001 wine from Bordeaux.

From the outstanding 2001 vintage, the Grand Puy Ducasse is beautifully mature and in its drinking window. Bordeaux Wine. A compact wine, but quite fruity for this rustic property. A good value.According to Robert Parker: "Elegant, pleasant black currant aromas intermixed with cedar, spice, and oak emerge from this medium-bodied 2001 along with tell-tale cassis and cherry fruit. Soft tannin and low acidity" (06/04) According to the Wine Spectator: "This is a pleasing young red with blackberry, liquorice and vanilla character, medium body and a silky finish. A slightly forgotten château. Best after 2006." (03/04)
