Description
The 2002 Giscours has a herbaceous, earthy nose with truffle notes intermixed with sweet cherries, plums, and currants are present in this soft, medium garnet wine. The wine is already evolved and best drunk over the next 10-15 years. The wine's plushness, and the concentration is very good.
Jancis 17.5/20
Dense, compact very Cabernet nose. Round and lively. Very brilliant fruit. Tannins on the finish. Quite a classical structure. Should age well. Pretty dry on the finish at the moment. But long. Giscours is no longer cheap, alas, though the quality has risen considerably.
