Classic 1975 Barolo — Mature Nebbiolo Charm
This 1975 Cantina Stz Calamandrara Barolo offers a rare glimpse of fully evolved Nebbiolo from a golden era in Piedmont. Five decades have softened the structure and heightened the perfume, delivering a wine that’s all about elegance, nuance, and quiet power.

Tasting Profile — Tar, Roses & Dried Cherry
Expect a brick-garnet hue with an orange rim. Aromas of dried cherry, rose petal, orange peel and tar unfold into leather, cedar, tea leaf and porcini/truffle. The palate is medium-bodied and silky, with resolved tannins, lively acidity, and a long, savoury finish dusted with spice and cocoa. (As with all venerable bottles, natural bottle variation applies.)

Serve with Care — Let It Whisper
Stand the bottle upright for 24–48 hours to settle sediment. Open gently (Ah-So/Durand recommended). Decant lightly for 20–30 minutes—just enough to remove the deposit without over-aerating. Serve at 17–18 °C in large Burgundy stems. A fine sediment is normal.

Food Pairing — Piedmont on a Plate
Sublime with tajarin and truffle, mushroom risotto, slow-braised beef or veal, roast game birds, and aged Parmigiano-Reggiano. For a simple, perfect pairing: good bread, olive oil, and a wedge of Pecorino or Toma.
