This is a library release from the chateau. This is an exceedingly rare, gloriously mature Saint Emilion Grand Cru. It’s from an estate surrounded by famous names like Pavie, Clos Fourtet and Ausone.
The 1966 Cardinal-Villemaurine is very mature with leather, farmyard and dusty tannins. A little ray of fruit shines through. Decanted 2 hours.
