"Mature appearance with tawny rim. The nose is slightly tainted with an odd sent of an uncleaned aquarium (algae) but this dissipates with time. There is certainly some sweet, figgy fruit in there somewhere with smoke becoming more evident. The palate is a little disjointed with high acidity, some dryness creeping in on the finish on the molasses-tinged, smoky finish but there is still some residual sweetness" Neil Martin Wine Journal 2008
