This has a mature nose, ripe fleshy fruits, certainly rather decayed with cooked meats, mint, a touch of burnt sugar that turns more chocolat with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied, a good level of freshness, furry tannins, spicy, black tea, nice cohesion, perhaps just a little dry towards the finish. A little rustic and animally, but it has a charm of its own. Neil Martin Wine Journal 2009
