The 2019 Château Haut-Batailley, a distinguished Pauillac Grand Cru Classé, exemplifies the elegance and depth characteristic of its appellation.

Tasting Notes:
Deep garnet colour with enticing scents of blackcurrant cordial, blackberry preserves, and redcurrant jelly, complemented by hints of fragrant soil, dried mint, woodsmoke, and Sichuan pepper. Medium bodied on the palate with vibrant black fruit flavours, a racy line of freshness, and finely grained tannins. The finish is long, featuring savoury and mineral nuances.

Serving and food pairing:
To fully appreciate its complexity, decant the wine for about an hour before serving. Serve at a temperature of 16-18°C and pair with classic meat dishes such as roasted lamb, grilled ribeye steak, or venison. It also complements aged cheeses and hearty mushroom-based dishes.
