Description

The 1998 Haut-Marbuzet has a lovely nose of slightly sour crushed berries, moss, undergrowth and occasionally some cheesey notes. It is bodied, quite tannic and a touch spicy. Matchbox, some black and red berries on the palate. Spicy finish, still rather oaky especially in the aftertaste, but gets more elegant with air. Overall - a rather well balanced wine with a medium finish.
