Description
This is a world-class Bordeaux red from Saint-Emilion. Its class is hinted at by the fact that close neighbours include the illustrious Châteaux of Cheval Blanc, Conseillante and Figeac. This is the sort of wine that is a real find: because the property underperformed under its previous owners, it has gradually been rebuilding its reputation since it was purchased by Olivier Decelle in 2004. Current releases are now revealing what

a special wine estate this is. In September 2012 the work here was rewarded and Jean Faure became a Grand Cru Classé again.
Reviews:
A very ripe nose with kirsch, plum, a touch of nail varnish and creme de menthe with a lot of toasty new oak. The palate is full-bodied with firm tannins, well integrated oak, reticent towards the finish though. Good density with a touch of melted chocolate becoming evident with further aeration.
