Description

"Labadie lies close to the village of Bégadan in the Médoc area. The name comes from a block of vines where there was an abbey a long time ago (the term Labadie meant abbey in old French language). The vineyard of this family-run estate is divided into two very distinct parts: clay limestone soils, providing the wine with good structure and gravels, which add finesse and a certain fruitiness.

The 1978 is fully mature but still in good shape, considering its age. Complex, smooth and slight fruity with a taste of berries, mushrooms and leather.
