1988 produced richly coloured Cabernet and Merlot wines, that are tannic and powerfully structured. A great vintage, gorgeously seductive and remains the most complex wine of this Century, the quintessence of Lafite-Rothschild.

This deeply colored wine exhibits the telltale Lafite bouquet of cedar, subtle herbs, dried pit fruits,minerals, and cassis. Extremely concentrated, with brillantly focused flavors and huge tannins, this backward yet impressively endowed Lsfite Rothschild may well turn out to be the wine of the vintage.
