This wine from the outstanding 2005 vintage is drinking well. The Fronsac appelation delivered what was promised: an old school wine experience with a real sense of place. Very earthy, dusty tannins, minerals, smokey plum fruit, no alcohol jumping out, beautiful balance. Just a great table wine that worked so well with food, cheeses, sausage, etc. Lovely stuff.
