The 1962 Chianti Castello di Verrazzano – Riserva is a rare and mature vintage from one of the most historic estates in Tuscany, with winemaking roots dating back to the Renaissance.

This wine is best appreciated for its historical and sentimental value rather than vibrant fruit or intensity. It's a beautiful expression of a Chianti Riserva at full maturity, perfect for marking a special year like 1962.

Tasting Notes:
Aromas of dried cherry, old leather, cedar, and subtle balsamic rise from the glass. The palate is mellow and elegant, with faded red fruit, earthy spice, and silky tannins. Gentle acidity lends structure, with a soft, savoury finish. A graceful, timeworn Chianti showing its age with quiet and elegant charm.
