Description

Gorgeous amber colour with gold rim. Rich, fairly fresh acidity, smoky feel, quite intense, spices and nuts, good length and a long mellow finish.

Madeira is made on the volcanic island of the same name, situated in the Atlantic ocean some 400 miles off the North African coast. This sub-tropical island was discovered in 1419 by the Portuguese. Madeira is the Portuguese word for wood or timber.
