An outstanding 1963 Port scoring 96/100 Parker Points.

The bouquet draws you in, does not drag you in with its alcohol and reveals a fresh, well defined nose with a nutty edge, hints of cigar box and allspice. The palate is beautifully balanced, understated on the entry but building all the time, flashes of eucalyptus leading towards a more extrovert, clove tinged finish that hangs around the palate. Condition

Excellent condition and provenance. These ports were purchased by the vendor from Hedges & Butler and Ellis, Son & Vidler in the late 1960's & 1970's; they have lain undisturbed in his cool London cellar
