Vintage & Background
1985 was a very good year across Bordeaux, producing wines with ripe fruit, supple tannins, and excellent balance. Château La Croix, a traditional Right Bank estate, crafted a wine that has aged gracefully, showing both the charm of the vintage and the structure of its terroir.

Appearance & Nose
Now fully mature, the wine displays a garnet colour with amber highlights at the rim. The bouquet is complex, with notes of dried red and black fruits, cedar, tobacco leaf, and earthy underbrush, complemented by hints of spice and leather.

Palate & Texture
The palate is soft and rounded, with tannins that have mellowed beautifully. Flavours of plum, blackcurrant, and cherry are layered with savoury notes of truffle, tobacco, and subtle cocoa. Acidity remains to provide freshness, leading into a smooth and elegant finish.

Maturity & Drinking Window
