1982 was a year that saw a few producers choosing to declare instead of 1983. Decanted almost 9 hours, what started out as a very sweet VP has slowly changed to a drier profile with lots of leather, no shortage of violets, light tannins still peaking through, and dried cherries on the finish. The palate is showing far more mature than the dark ruby color, this is quite the enjoyable.
