The Quinta da Devesa Branco Reserva 2022 is an elegant and expressive white wine from the Douro Valley, showcasing the estate’s continued focus on producing high-quality still wines. Crafted from native Portuguese grape varieties such as Viosinho, Gouveio, Malvasia Fina, and Fernão Pires, the wine combines freshness with layered complexity. The use of carefully selected fruit from higher-altitude vineyards allows for excellent acidity and structure, ideal for creating a refined and age-worthy white.

On the nose, the 2022 Branco Reserva offers a vibrant bouquet of citrus peel, white flowers, and green apple, underpinned by mineral notes and a subtle touch of oak. Fermentation and partial aging in French oak barrels introduce soft toasty elements and a creamy texture without overwhelming the fruit character. This careful balance highlights the winemaker’s skill in crafting a wine that is both aromatic and sophisticated.
