Description

A rare 1959 wine from the famous Sauternes region in Bordeaux, France. The wines of Sauternes are sweet but also fine and delicate. Their bouquet develops very well with ageing, becoming rich and complex, with crystallized orange, marmalade, hazelnut and honey notes with good acidity that offers excellent balance against the sweetness of the wine. This is a remarkably good wine for a bottle of such age.
