Blanc des Blancs Sparkling
Messias Blanc de Blancs Brut is a Portuguese sparkling wine produced according to the Champenoise method with Chardonnay grapes from the region of Bairrada. The wine was pressed in pneumatic presses and fermented in oak wood barrels in contact with fine lees. It stays in the bottle for 4 years in the cellar, after the second fermentation.

Tasting Notes: It presents very seductive, greenish-yellow colour and fine bubbles. Notes aromas of white flowers associated with white-fleshed fruit. Stylish, lively, delicate and a very long aftertaste. All is harmony in this wine that never tires the palate.

Serving Tips & Storage: Serve at a temperature of 6°C to 8°C. Perfect with salads and fish but also as an aperitif.

2018 Brut Millesime Grand Cuvee Sparkling Wine, Bairrada
Messias Millesime Grand Cuvée Brut is a Portuguese sparkling wine produced according to the Champenoise method with Baga, Bical and Chardonnay grapes from the region of Bairrada. The wine was pressed in pneumatic presses and fermented in oak wood barrels in contact with fine lees. It stays in the bottle for 2 years in the cellar, after the second fermentation.

Tasting Notes: Pale colour appearance in this sparkling wine, revealing greyish chromatic sensations arising from the indigenous Baga grape variety. The aroma is quite appealing, highlighting notes of citrus fruits like lemons, wrapped in bread nuances and toasty notes. It finishes off is a soft mouthfeel.

Bairrrada Qta.Valdoeiro Reserva Branco 2019, white wine
A reserve white wine from Messias' Quinta Valdoeiro. A short wood ageing gives this refreshing white wine a nice spicy edge. It brings out the bright fruits and softens them, giving a delicious wine with an orange zest and green fruit aftertaste.

Tasting Notes: Bright citrus aspect and colour of pale greenish intensity. It is a wine that has an aroma of exotic profile with notes of passion fruit and hints of fresh cut grass. The palate is light, with soft mineral notes. Cool and refreshing finish makes this a very pleasant white wine.

Serving Tips & Storage: Serve this refreshing white wine at a cool temperature from 10-12°C. It can be enjoyed as an aperitif as well as accompany seafood and fish dishes. Store it lying down at a temperature of 15° away from heat and light.

Bairrada Messias Classico Branco 2012, white wine
Tasting Notes: Aroma with unique, incredible, unique complexity, ripe yellow plum, honey, some fresh herbs, salty background with phosphorus nuances. Medium body, ample structure supported by good acidity, crispy periphery, lively, stirred wine, quite expressive presence in the mouth, some freshness that contradicts the expectation created from the aroma. Good acidity, long finish.

Serving Tips & Storage: Serve at a temperature of 6°C to 8°C and pair with seafood, fish and white meats.


2015 Bairrada Messias Clássico Garrafeira Tinto

Description: A staff favourite, this richly textured red wine comes from the up and coming Bairrada region in Portugal. It is made by the indigenous grape Baga, the flagship variety of the region, aged for 24 months in 50% new French barriques. Baga's small berries and thick skins make for intense, tannic wines. Tasting Notes Intense ruby colour. Atlantic characteristic wine, where balsamic nuances of resin and cedar get involved with iodine and salted sensations. 2013 Dao Qta.Penedo Reserva Tinto Red Wine
Description: Dão is one of the oldest established wine regions of Portugal, located just south of the famous Douro Valley. The mountainous region is home to Touriga Nacional, the principle variety of port wine. Quinta do Penedo, with an area of 20 ha, is located in the heart of the Demarcated Region of Dão. Its origin as a vineyard dates back to the year 1930, by the hand of Mr. General Santos Costa, having remained in the family until 1998, the year in which it was acquired by Caves Messias. Tasting Notes Intense ruby colour. Floral, black fruit and balsamic aroma. Elegant structure, delicate character and with a fresh finish on the palate. 17,5 pts Vinho Grandes Escolhas.
