Sigalas, 2004

Vin Santo- Santorini

Crafted on the volcanic slopes of Santorini from a heritage blend of Assyrtiko (≈75 %) and Aidani (≈25 %), Sigalas Vinsanto is the island’s most revered naturally sweet wine, a direct descendant of the ancient passon oinon tradition.

The bouquet is powerful and layered, opening with caramelised apricot, fig, raisin and honey, followed by notes of toffee, spice and dried citrus rind.
On the palate, the wine is lusciously sweet yet beautifully balanced by vibrant Santorini acidity. Flavours echo the nose with dried fruit compote, orange peel, honey and roasted nuts, while a long, elegant finish reveals hints of molasses and spice, leaving a lingering impression of finesse and harmony.
