Dow’s 1945 Port is a legendary vintage, celebrated for its exceptional quality and historical significance as the first major vintage declaration after World War II. The 1945 growing season in Portugal’s Douro Valley produced wines of remarkable concentration and balance, laying the foundation for this port's enduring reputation. Known for its elegance, it exhibits rich flavors of dried fruits, nuts, chocolate, and spices, complemented by a complex bouquet of dark fruits, caramel, and subtle herbal notes. With firm tannins and balanced acidity, it exemplifies the extraordinary aging potential of vintage ports, remaining vibrant and drinkable even today. …

Niepoort Port, 1900
Colheita Port, DOC Douro
Reviews
"This brings back a fond memory of a long lost friend, Paul Napolitano from NY.
