Baron de Lustrac, 1967
Vintage Armagnac in gift box.
Baron de Lustrac is a small traditional éleveur specialising in fine old Armagnac vintages. Their extensive range is sourced from neighbouring estates in the Tenereze and Mas Armagnac regions and they keep an ageing and bottling chais near Magnan, in the Bas Armagnac region.
All Baron de Lustrac Armagnacs are aged in 420ltr oak barrels and sold as single vintages. The grapes used are all harvested from the one particular year, and will only be distilled if the conditions were particularly good. Taylor's Port, 1967
Late Bottled Vintage Port
Vintage Port and LBV both present a selection of very fine full bodied red ports from a single year. The fundamental difference between the two styles lies in the way each is matured. Vintage Port is kept in wood for only twenty months or so before being transferred to the bottle where it will continue to age.
Late Bottled Vintage, as the name suggests, is bottled later, remaining in wood between four and six years. During this relatively long period of wood ageing, an LBV matures and settles down - it is ready to drink when bottled, does not need to be decanted and can be served by the glass for several weeks after the cork is drawn. …

Amarone della Valpolicella, 1966
Sartori
This wine is made from grapes harvested in various vineyards located on hills in the Valpolicella zone (Mezzane and Tregnago hills). Different sources and different grape varieties are important to obtain well-balanced wines with the fine structure that only a few single areas in the Valpolicella zone can provide. Notes: Color: strong ruby red. Clear and transparent. Bouquet: notes of vanilla and ethereal airs depending on the period of aging in the barrel; notes of sweet fruits such as currants, blueberries, cherries depending on the varieties of grapes. Flavor: wine with a velvety, raisiny character combined with the structure and typical stylish bitterness to give it good balance. …

Burmester Port, 1966
Colheita Port
We are delighted to offer a UK exclusive on Burmester Colheita Ports.
Reviews:
"(2015) Lovely dark caramel colour, with some truffle and tea notes, edges of olive and green fruits (fig). The maturity on the palate is obvious, again with fabulous sweetness and brown sugar richness, Muscovado and walnuts, but the hallmark of the fresh orange and lemon acidity plays against that and the coffee and walnut cake sweetness and richness." Dow's Port, 1966
Vintage Port - Peatling and Cawdron Label
"This is an extraordinary house that seems to have been particularly successful with its vintage port since 1977. The 1966 is a top success for that vintage; in fact, it would be hard to find a better port from that year." Robert Parker, Wine Buyer Guide.

Janneau, 1966
Armagnac 1966 Vintage
The 1966 Janneau Armanac is the expression of a single year and has a unique character associated with the year and the cask in which it has been stored. These vintages are bottled at the alcohol level in which they naturally come out of the cask. There is a wonderful contrast between the sweet and sour flavours of wood, amplified by the strong alcoholic degree. Rich palate feeling the alcohol and the concentration of dry plums, spicy with persistent flavour of rancio and of spices, but round, soft and long in the finish. The tannins are very present, but full-bodied and round.

Taylor's Port, 1966
Vintage Port
UK Bottled by Michael Morgan Ltd
A superb port from a classic vintage. The medium garnet colour has held up quite well with some bricking on the rim, but otherwise this wine is still showing youth and it has the backbone for a long life ahead. Complex layers of cocoa and spice with excellent balance and the velvety mouth- feel
Intense ruby. Elegant, fresh nose, finely balanced, redolent of violets. Palate is remarkably balanced as well: intense fruit (figs) in an excellent mineral/tannic frame. Lovely freshness and the flavours continue on the finish. Still has years of great life ahead.

Reviews for 1966 Warre's Vintage Port
91 points Wine Spectator
There is still plenty of fresh, youthful fruit here. Medium ruby-red, with an intense floral and berry nose, medium-bodied, with rich, sweet fruit flavors, medium tannins and a lingering finish. Very good fruit. (JS, Web Only—1998)
Jancis Robinson
Deep, vibrant ruby with very pale rim. Big, broad, rich nose – quite burly and autumnal. More powerful than the 1963 – with more obvious alcohol. …

Armagnac 1965 Vintage (Comes in original Sigognac Box as illustrated)
Baron de Sigognac 1965 Vintage Armagnac has a beautiful reddish amber colour with a fine and elegant nose that is powerful and harmonious with notes of wood, candied orange and vanilla. Bold and elegant in the mouth with a rich structure and aromas of dried fruits. Well balanced with a long and spicy finish.

Fonseca Port, 1965
Guimaraens Single Quinta Port
Deep red, the colour of black cherry juice; 70% opaque. Dusty apples on the nose, with some spicy tobasco. Sweet in the mouth, red jelly beans but little fruit. The jelly beans come through strongly on the mid-palate. A hot aftertaste with lots of ginger that lasts a long time before dark cherry skins and black chocolate make up the finish. This is a nice port.

Crusted Port -
Bottled in 1964 by John Lovibond and Sons Ltd
Special Offer | Level mid shoulder | good label
A very unusual and very delicious style of Port, a blend of two vintages with the bottling date shown on the label. The term ‘crusted’ refers to the deposit that the wine throws as it ages, and this starts the moment it is bottled. Always decant, or strain through a muslin, and you should stand the bottle up for 24 hours before this so that the deposits sink to the bottom.

1962 Dom Perignon
Champagne
"Light pale gold, deeper through the sides, glass served after poured, very little effervescence in this sample. Indelible aroma above the glass, delicate, floral and fragrant. Long, long, long and quite alive. Evolves over the course of an hour - calling everything from lemon curd to citron creme on a biscuit, and even a hint of piña. Fascinating and captivating. Beautiful wine. After an hour, a lilting caramelization rounded off this gorgeous glass. Pour it, taste it, and if you can wait an hour, you will not believe you are drinking champagne." Chateau Angelus, 1962
St Emilion Grand Cru Classe (UK BB)
Château Angelus A typical Saint-Emilion… Château Angelus is the story of the passionate involvement of the last four generations of the Boüard de Laforest’s family. The vineyards of Angelus are located closed to the famous village of Saint Emilion, next to the renowned south facing "pied de côte" site. The name of Angelus derives from a particularly ancient plot of vineyard, from which the men tending the vines were able to hear the angelus ringing out from all three angelus of the village churches, chapelle de Mazerat, the church of Saint Martin and and the church of Saint-Emilion. There, in the vineyards and in the wine processing areas, …
