Bordeaux, 1965

One of the world's most prolific wine regions, it also manages to rank among the most famous and prestigious. Calem Port, 1965

Single Harvest Colheita Port (Includes Calem Presentation Box)

The 1965 Calem colheita has a bright brown-tawny colour. Open and willful nose, plenty with dried fruit aromas and delicate notes of wood and honey. In the mouth, the feeling of elegance is enhanced by a beautiful structure of tannins, a silky texture, standing-out the balanced acidity which offers joy and liveliness until the end.

Colheita, or single harvest ports, are aged in the barrel. Contrast this with vintage ports which are aged in the bottle and only have a short drinking window after opening. Colheita ports have had air working on them through the cask during all the years of aging, giving them a open-life of a month or longer.

1964 Tokaji

Szamorodni Dry, Monimpex (Half litre, 50cl)

This dry version of Tokaji is produced from ripe and very ripe but healthy clusters, it can be compared to some wines from Jura and Jerez. Its character is determined by the long barrel ageing partly under the yeast veil or flor (biological ageing). The flor gives the wine an amazing freshness, while the rancio character comes from the oxidation of the late harvested grapes.
