Burmester Port

Tawny Port -6x75cl Bottle Case

Orangey (tawny) colour. The fresh fruit tones gain nutty dry fruit nuances, lending the wine a subtle elegance.

Winemaking:
A classic port wine, which helped the drink became famous throughout the world. This wine is obtained by blending different harvests. At first it is aged in oak vats and after 4 years it is blended. Its ageing and consequent oxidation in oak makes its colour turn from red to orangey.

Food Pairing:
It can be appreciated as an aperitive or on any other ocasion. Ideal accompaniment to nuts, cheeses or deserts.

Burmester's Ruby & Tawny Duo

Ruby & Tawny Port 2x75cl bottles (Both ports come in a double dark mocha silk-lined gift box as illustrated)

Burmester's Ruby Port
This is Burmester's classic Ruby Port, rich in simmering spice notes (think cinnamon and nutmeg) dusted over sweet stewed plums.

Burmester's Tawny Port
Burmester's tawny port is sweet with plenty of berry notes, given depth by touches of vanilla, orange zest and a hint of nuttiness.

Serving Suggestions :

Ruby Port
These full bodied, fruity red ports are the ideal partner for a cheeseboard, chocolate dessert or even an intense Port wine reduction. Full flavoured cheeses such as a good farmhouse Cheddar or Red Leicester would harmoniously accompany this port style.

Claudia's Red & White Duo

New

Quevedo Red and White Douro Wines
In a double Leather Effect Gift Box

This beautiful 2-bottle gift box expresses the unique indigenous Portuguese varieties and bears the name of its wine maker, Claudia! Claudia’s wine from Quevedo is an expression of what the winemaker together with owner Teresa, love most on each harvest. Claudia’s wine is a blend of grapes from different plots but one thing is certain, all the grapes were hand picked and treated as small treasures!

2018 Claudia's Branco, Douro white:
Reasonably solid in the mid-palate, the most important issue here is its fine combo of depth, finesse and freshness. It handles its oak beautifully. Smooth and rounded, it should drink well, good on its own, but better with food.

Cockburn Port, Non Vintage

Cockburn Quinta dos Canais Mixed Pack
Presentation case containing 2000, 2004 and 2007 Vintages.

All 75 cl bottles.

Cockburn's Quinta dos Canais is a traditional, terraced Upper Douro quinta that has been producing superior wines for over 100 years. The property has consistently provided the grapes that become the backbone of Cockburn's declared vintages. Considered the "jewel in the crown," the property was purchased in 1989, and consists of some 740 acres (300 hectares) of vineyards on the north bank of the Douro. The plantings here face south, and therefore benefit from long hours of sunlight. Under the regional classification system, the vineyard has been awarded the highest possible rating.

Cognac Bisquit Dubouche, Non Vintage

Champagne Napoleon Cognac

An old release of Bisquite Cognac with an average age of 20 years. Bisquit is produced in Jarnac, in the Petite Champagne region of Cognac. We estimate that this was bottled during the 1960s.
Legend has it that Napoleon took crates of Courvoisier Cognac into exile with him to the island of St Helena, and the crew coined the Cognac as "Napoleon's Cognac".

Tasting Notes
Elegant copper highlights, a lingering bouquet, and a powerful, round flavour make this a very distinguished cognac. The oaky characteristics and candied fruit flavours coat the palate after the first sip.

A wonderful cognac to enjoy as a digestif at the end of a meal.

Cognac Des Tuileries, Non Vintage

Grande Champagne Reserve Cognac (75cl)

A good Cognac is subjected to a complex manufacturing process. It is never made from the eau-de-vie of a single cru, but from a `marriage' of eaux-de-vie that vary in age and cru - some as old as a hundred. To establish the age of a Cognac, only the number of years spent in oak casks or barrels are taken into account. As soon as an eau-de-vie is decanted into a glass recipient, it ceases to age. The longer it is left to age, the more a Cognac gains in complexity, fragrance, aromas and taste (spiced, pepper and cinnamon flavours).

Alcoholic Strength by volumes 35° Gay Lussac. Fully matured in wood before bottling.

A supremely elegant rosé, with a subtle flavour of summer berries. Notes of freshly baked bread and spice overlay a core of tangy acidity, enveloped within a creamy, textured palate that shows exceptional freshness.

Although this is a non vintage wine, all the fruit for this release has come from the 2010 vintage, which saw ideal flowering conditions and a warm summer. The harvest was brought in early. 2010 was a very good year for both still and sparkling wines.
