Family Tradition Perfected Over Time.
From decanter-worthy Vintage Port to the beautifully approachable Late Bottled Vintage (LBV), these wines showcase the Douro's old vines and time-honoured craft. Whether you are laying bottles down or opening something special tonight, you are in the right place.
Vintage Port is produced only in outstanding harvests and bottled after around two years in cask. It is powerful in youth and built for decades of evolution in bottle, developing layers of dried fruits, spice, cacao and walnut complexity. Many of our listings include cellar or library releases with impeccable provenance.
LBV (Late Bottled Vintage) is from a single year like Vintage Port, but aged longer in wood (typically 4-6 years) before bottling. Unfiltered 'Traditional' LBVs offer extra structure and benefit from decanting; filtered LBVs are polished and convenient for drink-now enjoyment. Expect generous fruit, savoury spice and a refined finish.
Serving & Enjoyment: pour Vintage and Traditional LBV at 15 - 16°C and decant gently to remove sediment. Classic pairings include Stilton and blue cheeses, dark chocolate desserts, roasted nuts - or simply savour a glass on its own to appreciate the aroma and texture.
