Description

The 2003 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee de Vatican is a blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 8% Mourvedre and a splash of Cinsault. Spending 12 months in equal parts stainless steel and barrels, it offers up a modern profile with plenty of cassis, licorice and hints of vanilla all emerging from the glass. Nicely concentrated, with sweet tannin and solid length on the finish, it has outstanding potential and should have around a decade of longevity.
