The Delaforce 1994 Vintage Port is a classic expression of a top-quality Port from a renowned 1994 vintage. Known for its richness and intensity, it features deep flavors of black fruits such as blackberries, plums, and cassis, along with notes of chocolate, spice, and hints of tobacco. The wine is full-bodied with firm tannins, offering excellent aging potential.

Tasting Notes.
Youthful in appearance, medium bright ruby red tapering to a strawberry rim. Initially the nose is rather raw and stalky but this clears up in the decanter, lovely nuance, black cherries and spices, dark chocolate, hint of cherry stones, good depth; lively palate, elegant rather than concentrated but with a lovely stuffing of ripe and glossy, juicy cherry fruit, medium sweet, bright acidity, not very tannic but with more grip than many other 1994 vintage ports. Complete finish, lifted flavours of strawberry and vanilla, very good length, subtle alcoholic kick.

Food Pairing
The Delaforce 1994 Vintage Port pairs beautifully with rich, savory foods and desserts. For savory options, it complements strong blue cheeses like Stilton, as well as aged hard cheeses. For a sweeter pairing, dark chocolate-based desserts or fruitcake highlight the port's rich, fruity flavors. It also pairs well with roasted nuts or dried fruits.

Ageing Potential
In terms of aging, the 1994 vintage is known for its longevity. It can be enjoyed now but will continue to evolve and develop more complexity for at least another two to three decades.
